One Direction has secured a double top spot on the UK charts this past weekend, by making it to No.1 with their new album and single.
After missing out on the top spot of the Irish singles chart, trailing behind Emeli Sandé and Labrinth at No.2, the boys managed to gain both top spots in the UK chart, announced on Sunday evening.
Take Me Home, the new album from the former X Factor five-piece, shot in at No.1 on both the Irish and UK chart this week, while second single from the album, Little Things, managed to secure the UK No.1.
Another X Factor group, Little Mix, managed to score their third top three single with DNA, which only managed No.8 in the Irish charts last Friday.
