Christina Aguilera has been announced as the recipient of the 2012 NCLR Special Achievement Award in recognition for her philanthropy work.
The Grammy-winning singer will receive the accolade at the American Latino Media Arts (ALMA) Awards next month.
Aguilera, who is also a judge on the American version of The Voice, is the global spokesperson for World Hunger Relief and has helped to raise $80 million for the World Food Programme.
Hosted by Eva Longoria and George Lopez, the ALMA Awards will take place September 21. America Ferrera, Nicole Richie, Wilmer Valderrama and Michael Pena are among the celebrity presenters for the ceremony.
