Irish composer Brian Byrne is among the artists on the longlist for Best Original Score at the 84th Academy Awards.
Byrne is on the 97-movie longlist for his score for the upcoming Dublin-filmed Albert Nobbs, starring Glenn Close.
The RTÉ Concert Orchestra recorded the soundtrack for Albert Nobbs in the RTÉ Radio Centre in June, with Byrne himself conducting.
The nominees for the 84th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 24.
The Oscars take place on Sunday, February 26 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
