Gerard Depardieu has appeared in a short video as his character from Asterix mocking his recent mishap on a flight to Dublin.
In the video Depardieu is on a (fake) plane dressed as Obelix while his co-star Edoard Baer sits next to him dressed as Asterix. Passengers are told to fasten their seatbelts but Obelix (Depardieu) insists that he's too hungry and must eat a wild boar.
Depardieu's Obelix is not allowed eat but eventually succumbs and dives off camera to presumably devour a wild boar, a passenger behind Depardieu is immediately on the phone to the media to spread the story.
