Keith Allen is to star opposite Tara Fitzgerald in the new 'Waking the Dead' spin-off series, 'The Body Farm'.
The new series follows the work of 'Waking the Dead' pathologist Dr Eve Lockhart (Fitzgerald), with Allen playing Detective Inspector Hale.
Commenting on 'The Body Farm', Kate Harwood, Controller, Drama Series and Serials for the BBC, said: "We are tremendously excited to have such a wonderful cast line-up and to be following the character of Eve Lockhart into a new job as she leads her pioneering forensic team out to fight crime; Eve will face her challenges in the same way that she did in 'Waking the Dead', with cool professionalism and quiet compassion."
The final series of 'Waking the Dead' begins on BBC One this Sunday, 13 March.
