Irish author Joseph O'Neill is among the nominees for the 2010 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
O'Neill is shortlisted for his book 'Netherland'; the novel was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2008.
The €100,000 IMPAC Dublin Literary Award is the world's most valuable literary prize for a single work of fiction published in English.
Joining O'Neill on the shortlist are: Gerbrand Bakker ('The Twin'), Muriel Barbery ('The Elegance of the Hedgehog'), Robert Edric ('In Zodiac Light'), Christoph Hein ('Settlement'), Zoë Heller ('The Believers'), Ross Raisin ('God's Own Country') and Marilynne Robinson ('Home').
The winner will be announced on 17 June.
