Irish actress Saoirse Ronan was among the winners at the Critics' Choice Awards in the US on Friday night.
The teenager won the award for Best Young Actor or Actress for her performance in 'The Lovely Bones'.
There was a tie for the Best Actress award with Meryl Streep for 'Julie & Julia' and Sandra Bullock for 'The Blind Side' sharing the honour.
Jeff Bridges was named Best Actor for 'Crazy Heart'.
The award for Best Supporting Actor went to Christoph Waltz for 'Inglourious Basterds' with Mo'Nique named Best Supporting Actress for 'Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire'.
The cast of 'Inglourious Basterds' also took the award for Best Acting Ensemble and their director, Quentin Tarantino, won the Best Original Screenplay award.
'The Hurt Locker' was named Best Film and its director, Kathryn Bigelow, won the award for Best Director.
The award for Best Comedy went to 'The Hangover' and 'Up' was named Best Animated Feature.
Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner won the Best Adapted Screenplay award for 'Up in the Air'.
There were six awards for 'Avatar': Best Action Movie, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects and Best Sound.
'Broken Embraces' was named Best Foreign Language Film, 'The Cove' won the award for Best Documentary Feature and 'Grey Gardens' was Best Picture Made for Television.
The award for Best Score went to Michael Giacchin for 'Up', while T Bone Burnett and Ryan Bingham won Best Song for 'The Weary Kind' from 'Crazy Heart'.
