Kanye West appeared on Jay Leno’s new NBC show last night to repeat his apology to singer Taylor Swift for interrupting her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.
West, who had been scheduled to perform only on the show, had asked the host if he could say a few words. A downbeat West was asked by Leno if he had had a tough day. He said it had been extremely difficult and went on to say he would be taking some time to consider his behaviour in the future.
A contrite West continued by saying "it was very … rude, period. And, you know, I'd like to be able to apologize to her in person." He said he realised he had been inappropriate when he returned the mic to Swift who didn’t continue with her speech.
