'Coronation Street's Jane Danson and Alison King have been briefing Samia Smith on what to expect from motherhood, right down to the "gory details".
Jane, who returns to screens next week as soap favourite Leanne Battersby, had her second son, Sam, in February.
Two weeks earlier, Corrie co-star Alison King (Carla Gordon) became mum to daughter Daisy Mae, while Samia (Maria Connor) is expecting her first child in September.
Speaking of the Corrie baby boom, Danson told news agency PA: "It is a bit mad. What's quite nice is that Ali King and I had our babies within two weeks of each other and we live about a mile away from each other.
"Samia is due to have her baby fairly soon and we all live quite close together. It's nice that we're friends inside of work and outside of work as well. Particularly for Samia as it's her first so we're all giving her the gory details!"
Viewers last saw Leanne leaving Wetherfield to run a restaurant in Leeds after learning that boyfriend Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) had cheated on her.
Peter will track her down in scenes to be shown on Friday, 11 September.
Jane said: "I always knew when I was scheduled to come back so I always had that time frame in mind. The first week or so I was a bit nervous and it was like being back at school, but within two days I felt like I'd never been away."
