Actor Todd Lasance has revealed that he is planning to leave 'Home and Away' in the "not-too-distant future".

According to TV Week, the 24-year-old star, who plays Aden Jefferies in the soap, said that he plans to travel to the US in the hope of working there.

Lasance: "I got signed over there [in LA] with an agent. It's all been hush-hush for a while."

"We did meetings for a couple of weeks, then three days before I came back, I just gelled with one particular agent and loved her. She asked if I'd like to join the agency so I was stoked."

"I was over the moon. You can imagine me - I love this job and I want to do so well."

When asked when he was planning to leave 'Home and Away', the actor said: "How do I word this? Let's just say, I'll be ready to make the next step in the not-too-distant future."

A representative for the soap said that there were no plans for the character of Aden to leave "at this point in time".

Lasance previously said that he was upset that co-star Jess Tovey (Belle) was leaving the show.
