Speaking at a press conference in Berlin for 'Inglourious Basterds' Brad Pitt has said that it can be "tough" work being an actor.

According to People, the 45-year-old joked: "It's so tough being an actor. Sometimes they bring you coffee, and sometimes it's cold, and sometimes you don't have a chair to sit on."

Pitt, who has six children with partner Angelina Jolie, also joked to German magazine Bunte that he now has a curfew, explaining: "I'm a father. My partying ends at 6pm!"

Following filming of the Quentin Tarantino film in Germany, where his family lived during the shoot, he added: "It's always great to be here and I have a lot of friends here."

However, according to OK magazine, despite his curfew the star was later seen leaving the movie's after party at around 2am.

'Inglourious Basterds' is due for release in Irish cinemas on 19 August.
