'The Sopranos' star Drea de Matteo is joining the cast of 'Desperate Housewives' for the sixth series.
TV Guide reports that de Matteo's character is a married New Yorker who moves to Wisteria Lane with her husband and 19-year-old son.

Entertainment Weekly, which first broke the story, reports that the husband will be a landscape gardener while the son is described as uptight.
TV Guide adds that both characters will catch the eye of the other women on Wisteria Lane.
