Bad guy Nick Cotton is set to leave Albert Square in explosive fashion, when Ian Beale's café goes up in flames.
According to The Sun, Nick (played by John Altman) holds a number of locals, including Bradley Branning, hostage in the café before the fire breaks out.
A show source reportedly said: "Nick is causing chaos and all his lies are catching up with him."
"He goes into the caff and a fire is started, Bradley is one of the key people involved — but will Nick live or die?"
The dramatic scenes are reportedly set to air over the summer.
