Jennifer Hudson returned to the stage yesterday for the first time since the October murders of her mother, brother and nephew.
The 27-year-old sang the American national anthem at the Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida.
Paying tribute to Hudson, Faith Hill, who also sang at the event, said: "She is a strong girl, a girl of faith."
Hudson's brother-in-law, William Balfour, was charged with the October murders in December.
