One of the stars of the TV police drama 'Dexter' is to have a guest role in the new series of 'Ugly Betty'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Lauren Velez, who plays Lieutenant Maria Laguerta in 'Dexter', will appear in a multi-episode storyline of 'Ugly Betty'.

The trade daily says that Velez will play Elena, a nurse who becomes involved with the Suarez family and is linked to a plot twist that may involve the death of a major character.
