Actress Katherine Heigl is "absolutely staying" on 'Grey's Anatomy', according to television network ABC.
People magazine reports that ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson yesterday quashed rumours that the actress was set to leave the show by saying: "She's absolutely staying with the show.
"There’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that's going to go on this season. We’re really excited about that."
Rumours of a planned departure began to circulate after Heigl suggested that she was unhappy with some of her storylines on 'Grey's Anatomy'.
The actress withdrew her name from the Emmy considerations, saying: "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination."
