Hollywood star Sandra Bullock and her husband, Jesse James, were struck by a drunk driver last Friday night while travelling in a private car, according to a report by People magazine.
The magazine reports that Bullock, who is currently filming 'The Proposal', was being driven through Gloucester, Massachusetts, when a grey Subaru station wagon smashed into their vehicle. No one was injured in the accident.
Gloucester Police Lieutenant Gerry Cook told People: "They were shaken up, needless to say. But they were fine – he was hugging her. Jess and Sandra were hugging. They said they were fine, they didn’t need medical attention. There were quite a few people snapping pictures of them."
The driver of the Subaru was identified as 64-year-old local woman who was found to be two-and-a- half times over the legal drink-driving limit, Cook said.
She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to stay in marked lanes.
