Actress and comic Janeane Garofalo is joining the cast of '24' for its seventh series.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the former 'West Wing' star will play a government agent who is part of the team investigating the crisis that Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is embroiled in.
Last month actress Cherry Jones agreed a deal to play the new US President in the series.
The seventh series of '24' is set to begin production on 10 September.
