Simon Cowell is reportedly fuming over Ant and Dec's £40 million ITV deal.

The 'X Factor' judge - who worked with Antony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on 'Pop Idol' - is reunited with the TV duo on new show 'Britain's Got Talent', but reportedly greeted them with fury when he learned they were being paid double his own £20 million salary.

Dec told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "We were filming 'Britain's Got Talent' and came into the studio the morning the news broke about our new deal and the audience gave us a standing ovation.

"We were on cloud nine, but Cowell just turned around and he was steaming.

"He hissed 'You're curdled my milk, you've soured my apple.' He was so unhappy. Simon can't bear the thought of anyone being paid more than him."

Ant added: "We love winding Simon up, it's great sport. He falls for it hook, line and sinker."

The Geordie pair have just returned from Hollywood where they filmed a pilot for game show 'Wanna Bet'.

Dec said: "We're waiting to see if they want a series, we're crossing our fingers."
