Television presenter Chris Tarrant has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a fellow diner at an Indian restaurant in Nottingham.
According to a police source, the 60-year-old 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' host was arrested late on Sunday and released on bail earlier today after being questioned about the alleged incident.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed that they received a 999 call shortly after 10pm, in which a man claimed that he had been assaulted by another diner at the Memsaab Restaurant.
A police spokesperson said: "Police officers attended and a short time afterwards a 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody for questioning."
"The man has been bailed to a date in June pending further enquiries."
