Irish director Jim Sheridan is in talks about directing a remake of the Danish film 'Brothers'.

The original film was directed by Susanne Bier and told the story of two brothers and the changes in their relationships when one of them is sent to war in Afghanistan.

Bier's last film, 'After the Wedding', was recently nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar; her new film, the Halle Berry-starring 'Things We Lost in the Fire', is due out this year.

The Hollywood Reporter says that three A-list actors are expected to be announced for the 'Brothers' remake in the coming weeks.
