Irish director Jim Sheridan is to make 'Emerald City', a film about the Irish mafia in New York.
Variety reports that the film is inspired by true events and is set in the Hell's Kitchen neighbourhood of New York.
Sheridan will shoot 'Emerald City' when he completes work on the 50 Cent-starring 'Get Rich or Die Tryin''.
The script for 'Emerald City' is being written by Lukas Reiter, a former assistant district attorney in New York who has worked as a writer and producer on 'Boston Legal' and 'The Practice'.
