Nicole Kidman and seven other people suffered minor injuries on a Los Angeles set yesterday when the car she was driving crashed into a pole during filming.
Kidman was shooting her new alien thriller 'The Invasion' when the accident occurred; the actress and the seven other people went to local hospitals but none of their injuries were serious.
In a statement movie studio Warner Bros said that Kidman and two crew members were slightly injured, but police said eight were injured in total.
Los Angeles Police spokesperson Karen Smith said that it was likely police would conduct a routine traffic accident investigation and a California workplace safety agency might also become involved.
Smith could not confirm a report by Us Weekly magazine that the star's car was being towed at about 45 miles an hour at the time of the accident.
