Irish actor Cillian Murphy has been nominated for a BAFTA Award in the Rising Star Award category.
The four other nominees are: 'Casino Royale' star Eva Green, 'Perfume' star Ben Whishaw, 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Naomie Harris and 'The Devil Wears Prada' star Emily Blunt.
The award is given out annually to a young actor who has demonstrated exceptional on-screen talent.
Murphy shot to fame in '28 Days Later' and recently appeared in Ken Loach's Palme d'Or winner 'The Wind That Shakes the Barley'.
The shortlist was announced today by the 2006 winner, 'Shameless' star James McAvoy.
The Rising Star Award is voted on by the public via the Orange website or via text message.
This year's BAFTA awards take place on 11 February.
