Stephen Merchant, Ricky Gervais' co-star in the comedy series 'Extras', is to make a cameo appearance on '24'.
The BBC reports that Merchant will hand a piece of paper to a staff member at the Counter-Terrorism Unit in an episode of '24'.
There will be no '24' cameo for Gervais as he is considered "too recognisable".
But Gervais has recorded a spoof scene in which he appears as an official who gets upset when someone else claims one of his ideas as their own.
Speaking to the New York Post, '24's executive producer Jon Cassar said he hoped the scene could appear on the DVD of the sixth series, which begins on US TV in January.
