'You Are What You Eat' host Gillian McKeith has become the second celebrity act to be voted off 'The X Factor: Battle of the Stars'.
McKeith sang 'The Shoop Shoop Song' but was told afterwards by judge Sharon Osbourne that she had served up the musical equivalent of salmonella.
McKeith later failed to secure enough votes from members of the public to save her and was forced to sing again in a final showdown with model Michelle Marsh.
Simon Cowell chose to eliminate McKeith, explaining that he made his decision "for the good of Great Britain".
McKeith said afterwards: "I am so glad to be leaving here. It's like being in jail, I am not kidding."
Former soap stars Lucy Benjamin and Nikki Sanderson, DJ Chris Moyles, rugby player Matt Stevens, duo James Hewitt and Rebecca Loos and the Chefs, comprising of Aldo Zilli, Paul Rankin, Ross Burden and Jean-Christophe Novelli, all remain in the competition.
