Former pop singer Kym Marsh is set to return to 'Coronation Street' after a popular guest appearance on the show earlier this year.
According to ITV, the 29-year-old former Hear'Say singer has signed a six-month contract for the show.
Marsh appeared in 'Coronation Street' last month, playing the part of a singer who was auditioning for the band led by Liz McDonald's boyfriend Vernon.
Commenting on her new soap role, Marsh said: "I had an amazing time. Acting is definitely something I want to pursue."
A spokesperson for 'Coronation Street' said: "The writers saw a spark for the character and that's why Kym has been asked to return."
