Westlife have scooped the Record of the Year award in the UK, with their current single 'You Raise Me Up', claiming the accolade for the fourth time.

The group were chosen to receive the award by ITV viewers who voted for their song, which was on the shortlist of the biggest-selling singles of the year.

Westlife previously scooped the award for 'Flying Without Wings', 'My Love' and 'Mandy'.

McFly's 'All About You' was voted into second place in this year's poll, with The Black Eyed Peas' 'My Humps' claiming the third spot.

James Blunt's single 'You're Beautiful' and Daniel Powter's 'Bad Day' also made the top five.
