Television star Ellen DeGeneres has been chosen to host the Emmy Awards this year.
DeGeneres previously presented the awards ceremony in 2001, receiving a standing ovation at the end of the night.
DeGeneres joked in a statement: "You know me, any excuse to put on a dress."
The 57th Emmy Awards, which will honour the best in US television programmes and performances, will take place on 18 September.
