It has been confirmed that work has begun on the big screen adaptation of 'The Simpsons'.
MTV.com reports that the series' spokesperson, Antonia Kaughman, confirmed that the show's main voice actors and creator Matt Groening had completed a script reading.
A plan has been devised that will see work on the 17th series of 'The Simpsons' and the film take place simultaneously.
Kaughman said that while there was no release date at present and no animation company had been chosen to make the film, "at least it is on the road".
