Two vocalists who performed on a Lil' Kim album are suing the star for breach of contract, demanding $100,000 each.
Anthony Jeffries and Vincent Hart claim that Lil' Kim, real name Kimberly Jones, gave each of them a piece of jewellery worth about $10,000, in lieu of a cash payment, for singing on her 'La Bella Mafia' album.
However, the vocalists claim that the rapper later demanded the jewellery back "under a threat of physical violence". Both men returned the jewellery that they claim Lil' Kim gave them as gifts.
Kenneth Sussmane, lawyer for Jeffries and Hart, said: "We filed this lawsuit reluctantly after it became clear that Lil' Kim believes that the music laws do not apply to her."
The lawsuit also claims that the two vocalists performed at more than 30 Lil' Kim concerts, after agreeing a payment of $400 per show. However, Jeffries and Hart claim that they were only paid for one concert. They further allege that their images were used in videos without their consent.
Lil' Kim was found guilty of conspiracy and perjury in March, for lying to a grand jury investigating a shootout in 2001. She is due to be sentenced in June.
