Rap diva Lil' Kim was found guilty yesterday of lying to a grand jury to protect friends involved in a shooting incident and could face up to 20 years in prison.
The 29-year-old and her assistant Monique Dopwel were both convicted of perjury and conspiracy but acquitted of obstruction of justice.
Sentencing in the case has been set for 24 June.
Lil' Kim, real name Kimberly Jones, had testified that she did not notice two close friends, Damion Butler and Suif Jackson, at the scene of a 2001 shootout outside a radio station. Both men have since pleaded guilty to gun charges.
