Dennis Haysbert, who played President David Palmer in '24', is returning to the hit thriller series.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Haysbert left the series last season when his character decided not to seek re-election.
He will now return as Palmer for the final six episodes of the upcoming fourth series.
Haysbert, whose film credits include 'Far From Heaven' and 'Heat', is also set to star in 'Jarhead', director Sam Mendes' adaptation of author Anthony Swofford's Gulf War memoir.
