Soul legend James Brown has left hospital in Atlanta after undergoing successful surgery for prostate cancer.
Billboard reports that in a statement, 71-year-old Brown's urologist Dr James Bennett said: "We expect a full recovery. With proper follow-up and care, we can also expect a full cure."
Brown announced that he had cancer last week and is expected to spend three weeks recovering from surgery.
His autobiography is due out next month and he plans to tour Asia and Australia in the New Year.
