Nesbitt not only played host at last year's event, but also picked up the award for Best Actor in a TV Drama for his role in 'Murphy's Law'.
He is a contender for the same award again this year for his part in 'Wall Of Silence'.
The Irish Film and Television Awards will take place on Saturday 30 October at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin.
The awards will be broadcast on RTÉ One on Monday 1 November.
