Dennis Hopper, John Leguizamo and 'XXX' star Asia Argento are among the actors joining the cast of director George A Romero's new zombie film 'Land of the Dead'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film is meant to act as a companion piece to Romero's classic trilogy of 'Night of the Living Dead', 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Day of the Dead', and also help launch a new zombie franchise.
Written by Romero, 'Land of the Dead' finds that zombies have overrun the planet, with survivors living in a walled city which is in danger of being overthrown.
Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead' recently received the remake treatment in a film starring Ving Rhames and Sarah Polley.
