Horror great George A Romero is to follow-up his legendary zombie trilogy with a new movie, 'Land of the Dead'.
Having made 'Night of the Living Dead', 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Day of the Dead' in 1968, 1978 and 1985 respectively, Romero will now continue the story of the battle between the living and the undead (sic).
Variety says that in 'Land of the Dead', zombies have overrun the planet, with survivors living in a walled city which is in danger of being overthrown.
Shooting on the film, which has been scripted by Romero, will begin in either the US or Canada in October.
Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead' recently received the remake treatment in a film starring Ving Rhames and Sarah Polley.
