A three-day auction of items belonging to late country legends Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter Cash has raised nearly $4m.
The total of $3.98m is over twice the amount that was expected by Sotheby's in New York; over 1,000 bidders took part in the auction.
The most expensive item was a 1986 Grammy Award: it was expected to fetch $7,000 and sold for $187,200.
Cash originally approached Sotheby's four years ago about an auction but following his death last year, his family finalised the plans.
Proceeds will go to the Cash estate.
