Comedian Norman Wisdom is set to appear in 'Coronation Street'.
The 89-year-old actor will play pensioner Ernie Crabbe, a fitness fanatic who buys an exercise bike from Jack Duckworth.
The episode will be broadcast at the end of June.
"It is an honour to have Sir Norman on the show and his cameo will be great fun," a Corrie spokeswoman said.
Wisdom is the latest comic to take a cameo role in 'Coronation Street'. 'Phoenix Nights' star Peter Kay appeared in the show earlier this year.
