Hugh Grant has been given the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for excellence in film.
The British actor received the award in Los Angeles from actress Sandra Bullock, his co-star in romantic comedy in 'Two Weeks Notice'.
Others who have been given the Stanley Kubrick Award, given by Bafta/LA, include actors Michael Caine and Anthony Hopkins and director Martin Scorsese.
Grant is in the US promoting his new film, 'Love Actually', which will open in Ireland on Friday 27 November.
