Country legend Johnny Cash has died in hospital in Nashville. He was 71.
Cash had left hospital on Tuesday after being treated for inflammation of the pancreatitis.
He was subsequently re-admitted to hospital and his manager said he died after complications from diabetes, which resulted in respiratory failure.
He planned to finish work on his new album, 'American V', next week.
Cash's wife, June Carter Cash, who sang and wrote many songs with the legend, died earlier this year.
