Ms Dynamite and Birmingham musician Mike Skinner - aka The Streets - are tipped to lead the Brit Award nominations to be announced today.
2002's Mercury Prize winner, Ms Dynamite - real name Niomi McLean-Daley - also dominated last year's Mobo awards.
The Streets' album 'Original Pirate Material' was created on Skinner's home computer and was also nominated for last year's Mercury Music Prize.
Other acts tipped for nominations include Coldplay, Sugababes and Robbie Williams.
Ms Dynamite, and Moby, will perform at the announcement of the nominations at Abbey Road studios in London today.
The 2003 Brit Awards ceremony will take place at Earls Court on 20 February.
For the first time this year, alcohol has been banned in the auditorium and the audience will be seated in theatre-style rows rather than at tables.
