Win for Westlife at Brit Awards

Ireland's Westlife have shown that they're still one of the best boy bands in the business by winning the Best Pop award at the Brits in London last night.

Girl power was also a winner, with Destiny's Child taking the Best International Group gong.

The winners at the Brits are generally a closely guarded secret but there were few surprises this year that hadn't been leaked in advance.

Robbie Williams picked up his thirteenth Brit for Best British Male Artist and Shaggy won the Best International Male award.

Sting collected the Outstanding Contribution award but Craig David left empty handed for the second year in a row.

Travis took home the Best British Group title for the second time, while Gorillaz, who had been nominated in six categories, won nothing.

Boy band Blue were named Best British Newcomer and The Strokes Best International.

Dido picked up Best British Female Artist and Best British Album for 'No Angel' and Kylie Minogue received the equivalent international awards.

Controversial garage act So Solid Crew, who had their tour shelved because of fears of violence at their shows, won the Best Video prize for their chart topper '21 seconds'.

Basement Jaxx won Best British Dance Act and S Club 7's 'Don't Stop Movin' got the award for Best British Single.
