Lawyer calls for Jackson investigation

A Los Angeles lawyer has called for California officials to investigate Michael Jackson for dangling his baby out of a fourth-floor hotel window in Berlin last week.

State officials have previously stated they have no jurisdiction over anything that happens in Germany.

In a letter addressed to officials at the state Department of Social Services, attorney Gloria Allred said that Jackson's young son could have fallen to his death during the stunt.

"Given the height of the balcony and the fact that Mr Jackson was only holding the child with one arm as he held the child over the side, the child was at risk of falling and being injured or killed," Allred said.

She sent a separate letter to the District Attorney's Office in Santa Barbara County, where Jackson lives at his Neverland Valley ranch, asking that prosecutors determine if they have jurisdiction to file criminal charges.
