Ash have been involved in a road accident while on tour in the US.
The accident, in which drummer Rick McMurray sustained broken ribs, happened while the band were travelling between Seattle and Detroit on their tour bus.
Ash's bus driver swerved to avoid a tyre that had come off a truck and the band, who were asleep at the time, were thrown from their bunks.
No other members of the band were hurt in the accident.
Due to McMurray's injuries, Ash's scheduled appearances at this weekend's Reading Festival in the UK are now in doubt.
But they have stated that they intend to return to America at the end of August to begin a new tour with Coldplay.
