U2 have been named the highest-earning musicians of 2001 in a new rock earnings list compiled by Rolling Stone magazine.
It estimates that the Irish band earned €65m from touring, sales and royalties last year.
Most of their earnings came from the Elevation tour, which played to more than two million people and became the second highest-grossing tour of all time.
Dr Dre is second on the list, with earnins of €55m.
