Since the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal was launched in 2020, it has raised more than €26 million and provided 653 grants to registered children's charities across the island of Ireland, helping an estimated 1.1 million children and their families annually with the monies raised.

Building on the success of the previous years, in 2025, the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal 2024 funding, through Community Foundation Ireland, distributed grants to 169 initiatives, working with children facing poverty, illness, disability, discrimination, and crisis. The impact report below outlines in detail how the Appeal funds helped to provide food security, mental health support, educational opportunity, and hope to children and their families across Ireland.

The report also marks five years of the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal with a look back at what has been achieved. Beyond the direct funding to over 500 charities, the Appeal has helped more than 100 pilot projects get off the ground—new ideas that might not have been developed otherwise. Through the Appeal funding, charities have gone on to leverage an additional €7.2 million for the children and youth sector, strengthening organisations and the sector's capacity to do more. And the effect reaches beyond the children and families directly supported—the projects have created a ripple effect out into the wider community, touching lives in ways that are difficult to fully quantify but deeply felt.
