Community Foundation Ireland is a registered charity (RCN: 20044886) and leading philanthropic hub working to achieve equality for all in thriving communities. Established in 2000, it connects donors—individuals, families, corporates and trusts—with over 5,000 community and voluntary partners across Ireland. Its mission is to deliver strategic, long-term social change by funding initiatives that tackle inequality, support inclusion, and empower generations.
Community Foundation Ireland, through its partnership with the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal has administered over 650 grants to over 500 charities across Ireland, helping an estimated one million children and their famillies each year.
The RTÉ Toy Show Appeal exists as a Donor Advised Fund, held in trust by Community Foundation Ireland who also play a central role as the delivery partner, managing the independent application process, expert assessment and distribution of funds raised through the Appeal. The Foundation ensures that donations are strategically invested in projects that support children's health, education, and well-being, with a strong focus on inclusion and impact.
