About the On With Life Pediatric project run by Acquired Brain Injury Ireland:
This project is designed specifically for children who have acquired a brain injury. A brain injury is sudden, disruptive, life-changing, and terrifying for both a child and their parent.
Every brain injury is unique and different with most leading to physical, cognitive, sensory, or intellectual challenges. More severe injuries can have a combination of these challenges.
Supports for children with an acquired brain injury are currently limited. This project will enable Acquired Brain Injury Ireland to establish a national support network that will improve the wellbeing of children with an acquired brain injury through peer support, education and information.
It is anticipated that 50 children and young people aged 5-18 with acquired brain injuries will benefit from this project.
