Hosted by Dublin's Dogpatch Labs, First Fridays for Startups is a platform where members of the Irish startup ecosystem come together on a regular basis, enabling them to learn, connect and grow.
Powered by Google For Entrepreneurs, on the first Friday of every month the popular event gathers Dublin’s tech community for informative talks, mentioning sessions and networking opportunities.
This month's First Friday takes place on June 1st at Dogpatch - the day is free, and you can sign up here.
The day kicks off at 10am with an informal networking session, as founders and tech professionals mingle and talk shop - the perfect opportunity for would-be tech players to get their hustle on.

This is followed by 1 on 1 mentoring sessions for startups, in the format of 25-minute slots with a variety of curated mentors, ranging from Google experts to founders to investors and more; mentors include WarDucks founder and CEO Nikki Lannen, and this month's topics include Go-to-Market Strategy, Cybersecurity, Mobile UX/Design and funding and VR development.
Then comes the Lightning Talks session, focusing on Customer Development, with presentations this time out from emerging tech companies Pivotal, Vectra and Fluid UI.
The keynote for the day comes from David Hunt, the Co-Founder of computer vision & AI Agtech startup Cainthus. Hunt promises to share some hard truths about being a founder, using the rules of economics to roadmap your startup, & getting funding through corporate partnership.
